The program Wallander on BBC1 was first introduced in 2008 by Firewall.
When talking about shot types in the clip, we see so many extreme close ups in the clip. Some examples can be the picture in the car with the man and what appears to be his son. This represents that they must be so close to eachother as a family. With the picture we see blood all around the picture so obviously we can tell that something has happened in the clip i.e. someone getting killed or some person causing a car crash. Later on throughout the clip we see two girls walking away from the vehicle that the dead man was in. There was an extreme close up of the knife being held from the girl on her right hand. As soon as we see this image, I thought pesonally that the girls must of killed the guy in the car. The question that most concered me is why did the girl kill the man? I reckon is was because they were on a mission. The reason for this is because they looked very serious when one of the girls killed the man. She seems to have a lot of status after she completed the objective. Not only extreme close ups were important in the clip, but also there was an helicopter shot right at the start. The shot revealed a country side/field but with the vehicle in the background.
When talking about Mise En Scene, I usually relate to the costumes that each character wears in the clip. For example, the costumes that the girls were wearing seemed casual. Also when watching the clip I actually couldn't tell what the man in the car was wearing. I reckon he was wearing somekind of jacket. The reason I think this is because he seemed like he was working and he was of somewhere in his vehicle. So I can tell that this is a big difference compared to what the girls were wearing in the clip. With the colour in the clip, I thought it was a bit bright in the clip and that to me seemed a bit strange. The reason I think this is because its a gory violent clip which is showing bright colours. Obviously we see dark and dull colours in the clip but most of the time I saw Bright colours throughout the clip.
Sound was used throughout the clip very well. For example there was a non-diegetic sound at the start of the clip when the music was being played and then it shot straight into the girls. Now the way it shot for me sounded like the knife was scrapping into something which gives a massive clue to the audience. The music itself started of very quietly and then and then gradually got creeper when it was about to cut into the next shot. There were some diegetic sounds in the clip. An example of this can be the knife being dropped into the grass. This sound metaphorically shows that it is a sign of danger and the blood on the knife not only danger is going to happen, but also danger has already happened. The colour red on the knife obviously represents blood and it also gives a clue of horror and gore.
Editing is key when it comes to Fallander. For example I realised that the shot durations in nearly each shot was long. Around anout 5seconds for each shot infact. But when it came to the shot were the girl drops the knife to the ground that only lasted two seconds. Technically, this is the shortest shot duration in the whole of the introduction. This may be because as soon as the girl drops the dangerous prop it wants to cut out before the knife actually has been dropped to the ground.
