Question 7: What do you think you have learn't in the progression from the prelimiary task to the final draft of your opening sequence.
At the beginning of the year for media, we all had to do something called the prelimiary task. This task involved us all to get into groups of 2,3 or 4 and show that we can all use shot reverse shot, the 180 degree rule and great use of camerawork. When doing prelimiary task, i personally thought it wasn't a challenge at all. In a way, I was the one that was performing in the task however it would of been personally easier if i was doing the camerawork. Our group were not only looking for the great use of camerawork, but also we were looking for great use of Mise en Scene, editing and sound. The reason we were trying to achieve such a great prelimiary task is because we all wanted to make sure that we were ready enough for filming our actual opening sequence. In personal preference, I personally think that our prelimiary task went really well. The reason I say this is because we made sure that the camera was used to a very effective and professional way. We also included the 180 degree rule and shot reverse shot which again made the prelimiary task very good. Another thing that made the prelimiary task effective and unique was the use of editing. We edited the clip so that we can cut out bits that we didn't need in the clip and added special effects in which we could make the prelimiary task more successful and unique.

Once our group were completed finished with the prelimiary task, we then went on and got on with our actual opening sequence. We used some of the techniques from the prelimiary task in order to make our opening sequence professional and unique. For example we took the shot reverse shot and the 180 degree rule and put that into the opening sequence. Not only the use of camerawork was a good idea to use in our opening sequence, but also the editing was also another way in which we can fulfil our full potential in the media imdustry. In personal preference, we would never be able to get very high marks if we didn't include any of these elements because the opening sequence would not come out professional enough. However sinced we used both of these elements and the Mise en Scene and sound, we as a team have made a brilliant creative opening sequence.
